As a Christian, I don't seek conversion to Judaism (Christianity in its origin is best understood as a sect of Judaism anyway), but the book "I and Thou" speaks to everyone. I believe that to do it full justice it must be read over and over. If we don't have time for that right now, we can at least look ahead to where it leads.

Practice in experiencing the I and Thou encounter will lead to its enrichment. Our appreciation of others will become warmer and more understanding. Finally Thou will become God. Atheists may not be willing to acknowledge this last step. But if they are truly resistant, they should understand that they have an open invitation to embrace God.

NOTE: NOT A NEW EDITION! Still a great book if don't own it!

I already own Pat Kirwin's "Take Your Eye Off the Ball." I ordered this book thinking it was another book by Pat Kirwin. HOWEVER!! It is the SAME EXACT book as the first book "Take your Eye Off the Ball, by Pat Kirwin. It is Very disappointing in being fooled by Amazon and the author that this is NOT a new book but, a repackaged edition of Pat Kirwin's first book. DO NOT BUY this book if you already own the original "Take Your Eye Off the Ball." I will add IF you do NOT own the first version of this book. This book is outstanding! The book is very educational to every football fan. I have always enjoyed listening and learning from Pat Kirwin on Sirius Radio.

I read this informative book in about a week. It's informative, easy to read and I learned a lot about looking at the not so obvious happenings in football. The behind the scenes info on such topics as the draft and logistics of game day, halftime etc. were a nice bonus. Highly recommended. There's an accompanying video included that I haven't seen yet. The text of the book doesn't reference examples in the video, which would have been an added attraction.

Tremendous insight

I thought I knew a lot about football and the NFL. Then I read this book. Wow. The title does not do it justice. It is much more than how to to watch a football game. While the book includes great information about playing the game, it also details off-the-field activity like the draft, managing the salary cap and even the importance of the team doctor! Pat Kirwan provides interesting insight on many players without ripping on anyone. I received this book as Christmas 2015 gift. I write this review while watching the NFL playoffs. I can truly say I have renewed interest and appreciation for the NFL due to this book.

About the Author
Nick Collins is a lecturer at the University of Sussex. A composer, performer and researcher in the field of computer music, his research interests include machine listening, interactive and generative music, and computational musicology. He co-edited The Cambridge Companion to Electronic Music (2007) and The SuperCollider Book (2011) and wrote the Introduction to Computer Music (2009). Margaret Schedel is an Assistant Professor of Music at Stony Brook University. A composer and cellist specialising in the creation and performance of 'ferociously interactive media', she sits on the boards of 60x6, the BEAM Foundation, the ICMA, and Organised Sound. She has edited issues of the Journal of Visual Culture on Sound Art and Organised Sound on Visual Music. In 2009 she won the first Ruth Anderson Prize for her interactive installation Twenty Love Songs and a Song of Despair. Her research focuses on gesture in music, and the sustainability of technology in art. She serves as Co-Director of Computer Music and is a core faculty member of cDACT, the consortium for digital art, culture and technology.

Scott Wilson is a Senior Lecturer in Composition and Live Electroacoustic Music at the University of Birmingham. Primarily a composer, his works have been presented internationally, and include compositions for both instrumental and electroacoustic forces, as well as multimedia pieces. He has been active in the development of software for use with Birmingham ElectroAcoustic Sound Theatre, the Music Department's loudspeaker orchestra, and in developing new approaches for large-scale multichannel electroacoustic composition. He is also involved in the development of the SuperCollider computer music language and was co-editor of The SuperCollider Book, with Nick Collins and David Cottle.

Highly Organized Prep Materials

I've been on and off studying for the LSAT for about 1 1/2 years now, and in that time I've gone through Testmasters, Powerscore and a number of web-based preparatory programs. I've recently decided to attack the upcoming October test using self-study and this package has been an absolute life saver when it comes to comprehensive materials. Here a few reasons why I'd recommend using these book as either a complement to your prep course or as the linchpin for your individualized practice:

1. The materials are organized: In LR, LG and RC, the books do the following: have ascending difficulty and divide by thorough, specific categorizes and preptest numbers. Basically the set worked for me because I wanted to practice a section (logic games) without 'spoiling' a true full-length practice test. By dividing the sections up into volumes (based on when the previous tests were administered) you can guarantee that "seeing" a question or game will not affect true evaluations when you start taking more recent full length preptests. I.E. I can practice my logic games using the games from preptests 1-40 while I reserve preptests 41-60 for full length tests (all of this is included in this package)

2. Preptests: Most places that sell preptests do so individually, and this can, very quickly become an expensive waste of time. They'll sell them to you and you'll usually have to wait a few days to get your hands on a physical copy or be forced to stare at a computer screen while you take a 3 1/2 test. Not what you want to do. With this collection you are given 19 of the most recent tests administered by LSAC. All in print form and all ready to be taken when you are. Each test also comes with the answers (of course) and the specific raw-score to scaled score converter, which allows you to gauge your performance using the same scale that was once used on that specific test.

To sum it up here: This package is super-comprehensive. It offers every logic game, reading comprehension question, and logical reasoning question made by LSAC in its recent history. Once your prep starts and you begin noticing problem areas you can easily isolate the specific category and even SUB-category of question. And once you do that, you'll have hundreds upon hundreds of previously administered LSAT questions of that type, all of which are sorted by difficulty. As someone who has used the prepbooks of Testmasters and Powerscore I can tell you they don't come close to Cambridge's effectiveness.

Since the LSAT is so dependent on developing skills, drilling is an essential component to any prep. Not only does this package contain drilling materials for every type of question for every section of the LSAT, it also contains preptests for endurance practice. You basically have a composium of every single LSAT question released from preptests 1 - 60. Its basically all of the drilling practice you will ever need organized neatly into sections.

Highly recommended as a supplement for someone who is studying for the LSAT on their own to the strategy companies' materials (PowerScore, Manhattan, Kaplan, etc.).

I loved books one and two in this series which focus on Tristan and Ushna. But when I saw there was a short story in this universe that focused on Gregori, I got so excited. Gregori has been a steady presence in this story so far, but I have longed for more about him and to see him whole and happy. A New Beginning was my chance and I eagerly devoured this story.

I loved this short story. It was a great interlude and painted wonderful pictures of Gregori and Juan. I was impressed with the amount of history and character building the author was able to fit into something so short.

This story was about Gregori and from his own perspective. It was a really good look inside his head. Gregori hides scars both physical and emotional and this short story gave the reader a better understanding of how he views himself and his abilities. It gave the reader a better idea of where he thinks he fits into this rebellion and his views on his worth in relationships. I got a better understanding of the Magi through Gregori’s flashback and discussion on his past.

Juan was a quiet steady presence protecting and defending Gregori not only from battle threats, but from Gregori himself. Juan was the voice of reason and patience, seeing beyond Gregori’s outer walls to the man beneath. He was a great compliment to Gregori’s personality. I like that it teased enough about the growing attraction between the men without giving everything away. I also liked that the ending was not an ending but just another look into Gregori’s mind that sets things up for future books. This story is not complete and i am looking forward to more.

The Author Needs to Go Back to School

I cut my teeth on Van Vogt, Heinlein, and others of that ilk. When I was five my father would put them in the bottom drawer of my dresser and sternly warn me not to touch them. As he expected, that was a sure-fire way to be sure I read them. Compared to those books, this is totally boring. It is also incoherent in places, and has problems with spelling, punctuation, and incorrect word usage. It makes my stomach hurt. I agree that this writer has a right to post his book on Amazon. That's one of things Amazon does, and many very good books that might not otherwise be published show up here. But I would advise this writer to enroll in a creative writing school, whether it's in a nearby college or The Writer's Digest School. There is excuse for exposing one's ignorance to this expanse. But ignorance can be cured, and the concept is good. Please, author, go back to school.

Great story

I love Juan and Gregori together. This is great story of the two finally getting together and Gregori revealing his past. Part of the Sumerian Son's series. It just gives a glimpse of the world of lycan shifters and magicians.
