About the Author
From my earliest remembrances I had an affinity with animals. Every Christmas and birthday list was topped with a request for a puppy or kitten but it was never to be. The only pet I was allowed to have was a found tortoise that I named Cedric. 'He' actually turned out to be a 'she' who spent several years as ruler of the back garden, waging an annual war with my father over the strawberry patch and hibernating each winter in the compost heap. Nowadays, my husband, Alex and I share our home with a host of rescued dogs and cats, collectively known as "the kids." A couple of the dogs have digestive issues, which is why I began creating special treats for them and eventually put them together in The BARKtender’s Guide. When I’m not baking pupcakes I write cozy mystery stories and romantic suspense under the name Liz Dodwell.

Great Christmas Gift for the Dog Lover on Your List

I own a pet sitting company and gave The Barktender's Guide to Dogtails and Pupcakes to my top clients as a Christmas gift. They loved it!! I smile when I am taking care of their pets and the book is sitting on the coffee table. Several clients have made the pupcakes and say their pets just love them.

About the Author
Britt Andreatta, PhD, is currently Chair of the Bachelor's Program at Antioch University, Santa Barbara. Previously, she served as Assistant Dean of Students and a faculty member at the University of California at Santa Barbara, where she worked for 20 years. She was responsible for designing and teaching all of the student success courses (Education 10, Education 20, and Education 118), as well as coordinating programming and mentoring efforts for all 4,000 freshmen students and 1,500 new transfer students. In addition, she coordinated UCSB's various leadership development programs. She serves as an educational consultant and diversity educator, providing training on a variety of issues to students, staff, and faculty at colleges and universities. Dr. Andreatta has an MA in Communication and a PhD in Education. Her dissertation was entitled "The Effects of Social and Academic Integration on the Retention of First-Year University Students," and she continues to explore issues related to student success. She has received numerous awards, including UCSB's prestigious Getman Service to Students Award, Professor of the Year, and the national Outstanding Experienced Professional by the American College Personnel Association (ACPA). Dr. Andreatta has created several exciting programs for parents of first-year students, including two workshops entitled "Your Student's First Year" and "Parents in Transition," both of which have been adapted to more than 250 colleges and universities in the United States, Canada, and Australia.

Weirdest School Ever.

My Review: In this series of My Weirdest School #4. A.J and his gang are back, and its all about birthdays and fire. But how are the two related? Well, its crybaby Emily’s birthday, and A.J isn’t happy to spend the whole morning in Mr. Cooper’s class being nice to her. While Emily was trying to blow out the candles a few was still alight, So A.J decided to help her blow out the remaining candles but he blew so hard that one of the candles fell off the cake and landed on Emily’s shirt. “Call the fire department!”

Mr. Copper grabbed the fire extinguisher and aimed it at Emily’s shirt and her cake as well. Not only is her shirt ruined, but her cake as well. Emily started crying, “This is my worst birthday ever!” she shouted.

The next day the principal decided to bring Mrs. Meyer of the local fire department to teach the students about fire safety.

Would the students learn anything or would everything go up in smoke? You’ll have to read the book to find out!

The illustrations by Jim Paillot help to makes the story hilarious. I highly recommend
this book.

If you LOVE the my weird school, my weird school daze, and my weirder school series, you'll LOVE the my weirdest school series, too!!:)

The students of Ella Mentry school is learning about fire safety. Mrs. Meyer of the local fire department has been brought in to teach, but she is the weirdest fire safety teacher on earth!! She likes fire a little too much.

Will Mrs. Meyer catch on fire? Will she retire?? Will she transpire?! Read on to find out!!:) Recommended for children ages 7-9.

Gutman good but.......

I liked the my weird school series very much. I was not so hot with the my wierd school daze series though. And finally the my wierdest school series was terrible. Gutman is good but these books are getting old. Don't take my word for it waste the five dollars on 85 page crap.
